This may be the best day ever! I just discovered that my father, the one and only, Cole Fischer was featured on my favorite tumblr of all time Dads are the Original Hipsters. I wish I had discovered this before Thanksgiving so I could share it at dinner, I’m sure it would have sparked some lively conversation.

Your dad celebrated Thanksgiving before you did and he’s got the bird cooking skills to prove it. Unlike the pathetic masses who hunted their super market prey in freezer sections, he tracked his main course through harsh conditions and wooded landscapes. With a snipers eye he gave thanks with a bullet and brought home an organic, free-range bird each year. Thanksgiving was one of his favorite holidays because he got to eat until he sweat meat and then quietly fell into a food coma.
